Posted November 30, 2018 08:38:25 Kukata Pally has officially opened its first Chinese market outside Singapore, the Australian government said on Thursday, in a move that may boost the local business in the country.
The food chain will operate a two-storey shop on the third floor of a building at the corner of Adelaide Road and Glenorchy Road in the city of Perth, a spokesperson for the state government said.
It will be the first in a new category of Chinese-owned food outlets that are being opened across Australia.
Chinese-owned businesses in Australia are now expected to generate $8 billion in revenue by 2021, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Kukata is known for its Chinese cuisine, and is known as the “best-selling brand” of Chinese food in Australia, with its signature dish “Kung Pao”, a fried pork chop that is traditionally eaten with noodles and stir fried with fish sauce.
More to come.
